Beach Babe

I was sitting in my room, trying to think of a new shoe to post about...but nothing.  I happened to be watching 50 First Dates, and I began to daydream about going to Hawaii. I then thought about the shoes I would wear while in Hawaii! I have read several articles about wearing heels at the beach, and how it creates a classy more sophisticated look. Now you have to wear the right shoes.  Just any heel won't work, because not only will your shoes sink in the sand, but you will make a complete fool of yourself. Wedges are the way to go. They are very summery and will keep your feet above the sand. Here are just a select few of my favorite wedges.

"Winter Trend"

Credit: Brian Atwood

Dear Brian Atwood,
Once again you have given us a beautiful shoe to add to our collection. Purple was said to be one of the most "in trend" colors this 2011/2012 winter. Purple works well with many different color combinations, and this shade of purple in particular works well with ALMOST anything. You may want to check out some fashion trend sites first to make sure you don't commit a fashion "no no", because bright colors are easy to make mistakes with. There are two things I absolutely adore about this particular shoe. The first, the wrapping strap; it defines the ankle, making the leg appear longer. The second, the extremely pointed clear heel. I think even I would have to practice walking in these babies, therefore I don't embarass myself in public. So no matter who the designer, go out and grab those purple shoes before they disappear off of the store shelves.

Thanks again Brian!!!

"Feathered Friends"

With Thanksgiving right around the corner I decided to make a post about feathered shoes. You don't commonly see these shoes while walking along the street, but they can make great fashion statements if you are bold enough to wear them. There are may different styles and colors. I would prefer more earthy colors on a lower heel, mainly because I feel like the feathers can be distracting enough, I don't want to add the bright colors on top of it. Below are just a few pictures of some "feathered friends" to add to your wardrobe.

"Greek"

Credit: Jimmy Choo

Dear Jimmy Choo,
I absolutely adore this shoem and the name! Eros is and always will be a great nighttime shoe (good for clubs, parties, and fancy dinners). Silver goes with a lot of different colors, so it could work with almost any outfit, and the glitter adds to this great accessorie! I would love this shoe with a flowy white mini dress.
This shoe goes for around $750 at Jimmy Choo online. Start saving up that money girls, because this is one shoe you cannot afford to live without!

Thanks Jimmy!

My Collection

These are a few pairs of shoes from my large collection.  As you can see all of these are pumps (which happen to be my favorite style).  The black pair in the back left corner are Guess, and they are all lace, with a little "G" charm on the toe.  The other black pair in the back right corner are Jessica simpson, fake leather and solid black.  The red ones I got from a tiny shop in Toledo, Spain. The white ones are Badgley Mischka, extremely tall, and white mesh.  The colorful purple ones are Steven by Steve Madden.  These are by far my absolute favorite shoes! The many colors in them maken them great with almost any outfit, and the bow on the front allow these to be super girly!!! Perfect for my personality.

More shoes will be coming sooner. :)
Thanks girls!

"Maniac Pump"

Credit: Brian Atwood

Dear Brian Atwood,
I really enjoy this shoe. I like the simplicity of it! Every girl needs a solid color set of pumps in their closet, whether they stick to black, or venture out and choose an exotic color.  The best thing is, you provide both.  Your colors range from names such as Cappuccino Nude, Rose Gold, and Nude, to Black, Kiwi, and Orange. Orange and Kiwi? What random colors for shoes, but as you can see above, they actually work! I would personally buy the Kiwi ones! The leather of the shoe may feel a bit uncomfortable at first, but the benefit of leather is that it forms to your foot shape (making these one of the most comfortable pumps you own). I'm sure most girls wouldn't be able to afford original Brian Atwood shoes, but it's about the style. They don't have to be designer, just get look-a-like ones and you'll be set for a great night!

Thanks Bri!!!

Hey girls! Sorry about the "no post" yesterday. I've been sick, so yesterday I wasn't in the blogging mood! Tomorrow I will be posting a few of the shoes from my own large collection! Check them out!!!

Thanks,
Alex

"The Queen"

Dear Alexander McQueen,
Shall we call you "The Queen"? Although the passing of you almost two years ago brought shock upon the fashion world, your style still lives on.  Your innovative thinking crossed unknown boundaries and brought a new form upon  the world. Fashion icons such as Madonna and Lady Gaga are known to wear your creations. Your designs were, are, and always will be, eye-catching art forms within the crowds. Some of the shoes you created were definitely...unique, and many of them I would probably never wear.  This shoe though is absolutely fabulous! This is by far one of the most amazing shoes I've come across.  It's simple and elegant, yet it can be paired with a night-time outfit that makes it glamorous! This particular shade of blue makes me think regal (Kate Middleton), and the gold skull is the perfect accent. Skulls can sometimes be, well, cliche, but this one is far from.  It's modern and sharp!  If I could find this shoe at a lot cheaper price, then you would see these upon my feet all year-round! I'm sure my readers would agree. This sassy shoe would have "dressed to kill"!

Thanks Q!

"Classy Animal"

Credit: Anastasia Bice

Dear Anastasia Bice,
I want this shoe!!! I absolutely love zebra print because it's simple, and the pinkish purple bow adds a great accent. It seemed that leopard was very in these past few seasons, and although it still may be, zebra is beginning to take over.  So ladies, grab these beauties before they go out of stock.  Who knows, maybe you will be the next Kate Moss!

Thanks A!

"The Alex"

Credit: Christian Louboutin

Dear Christian Louboutin,

I feel so honored! You named one of your shoes after me (maybe I'm just nieve), or maybe it's named after the lion from Madagascar. This would make more sense seeing as the design is a lion paw. Although I would personally, most likely, never wear this shoe, I think it's for our wild childs. Girls, once again pull that black dress, that you've been waiting to wear, out of the back of your closet and put your "paws" on.

Thanks Christian!!!

"The Daring"

Credit: Vionnet

Dear Vionnet,
You must be daring to create a shoe like this. This would only be found on the feet of our future fashionistas. It's not for the introverted personality, nor the intimidated soul. But, if you are willing to show your wild side and appreciate the art in shoe creation, then this heel is for YOU!

P.S.- I suggest a little black dress with these lookers.

Thanks V!

"The Block"

Credit: Betsey Johnson

Dear Betsey,
Thank you for providing us with this year's in shoe.  The block heel has become one of fashion's most in styles. Not only do they provide us with gorgeous style, but they also give us a lot better balance then the normal "point" stilettos.  I would consider this shoe more spring, but the design and material used would have me wearing this all year-round.
Thanks Bets!
